Poster created during my training in health communication.
The aim was to create a fictitious poster for the ASBL 1Toit2Ages, which promotes intergenerational housing.
The theme focuses on the idea of sharing that emerges from the experience of intergenerational housing.
Two ideas of sharing were considered: that of two worlds meeting and mingling, and that of shared experience.
The first idea was retained.
"Depuis qu’Emma habite chez moi, je redécouvre les vinyles"
("Since Emma moved in with me, I've been rediscovering vinyl")
Matches with the idea of sharing between two generations and discovery.
"Emma": the most common first name for young people under 18 in 2017, i.e. the age to be a student in 2022 (statbel.fgov.be/).
Font: Canter Bold, which has a "classic rock" feel in keeping with the vinyl sleeve. Same for the background color.
The vinyl player has the benefit of representing several eras, bringing together all generations.
Wooden table and relatively neutral decor, without being too modern, to suit a 90-year-old as well as a 50-year-old (potential ages of guests).
Rock vinyl that evokes a recent band. Generic name, so no references to know.
The vinyl and the player overlap to accentuate the sharing aspect and the image of two worlds meeting and mixing. The same goes for the fact that the player plays the vinyl.
« Partager un toit c’est partager une histoire »
"Sharing a roof is sharing a story".
- Notion of sharing: it's not about doing a favor for a young person, that it's about gaining experience.
- Consistency between logo and baseline
- Change of logo to make it more visible and keeps the harmony of the poster.
- Typography similar to the logo.
